Internet Explorer 7: Hot Fix Under Consideration

Ie7_launch_2_10

We are investigating issues regarding Autodesk DWF Viewer 7.0 and Autodesk Design Review 2007 in regards to their interoperability with Internet Explorer 7. We are aware of the following issues:

  1. The main menu does not appear when used as a stand-alone executable.
  2. “Access is denied” script errors appear when trying to load web pages containing one of the viewer controls. These pages use the <object> tag to embed DWF files into HTML.
  3. “Permission denied” script errors are encountered on a seemingly random basis. This happens with JavaScript.

The Cnet article, Minor issues surface after IE7 launch, indicates that web sites themselves won't display correctly with Internet Explorer 7. We believe that only DWF file content is affected. We are only aware of the 3 issues listed above. If you have additional information regarding problems with DWF and Internet Explorer 7, please email scott.sheppard@autodesk.com. We have a hotfix to address these 3 issues.
