Earlier in the year, I posted two articles to this blog that would appear unrelated:
As we work on the next Autodesk Design Review, we are interesting in removing the restriction that Autodesk Design Review does not support roaming profiles. Roaming profiles are also referred to as Microsoft Folder Redirection. Basically roaming profiles are for users who have their user information stored on a computer that is different from the one they are logging into and using. Although we have set up our own roaming profile configuration in our DWF testing lab, we have been unable to reproduce the problems reported by our users.
We are looking to work with someone on this issue. In an ideal world, this customer would be located in the Bay Area of California, so one of our developers could make a visit. Barring that, someone in a western time zone of the United States would make interaction easier from a time of day standpoint. If your company uses roaming profiles and you have a desire to see Autodesk Design Review support your organization, please contact scott.sheppard@autodesk.com. I will hook you up with the right technical contact.
