Autodesk Design Review 2008 Now Available
After hours of tireless effort working on the Nile project, Autodesk Design Review 2008 is now available for download from the Autodesk web site.
There are optional plug-ins that can be downloaded as well. These include Batch Printing, JT Import, and DGN Import. These are also available from the Autodesk web site:
If you wish to download these installers once and then deploy them across your company, you can run the silent installers in succession with a BAT file or similar process that does:
- start /wait SetupDesignReview.exe /s /v/qn
- start /wait BatchPrint_DesignReview2008.exe /s /v/qn
- start /wait JTImporter_DesignReview2008.exe /s /v/qn
- start /wait DGNImporter_DesignReview2008.exe /s /v/qn
So not only should you come and get them, you should get them all and then spread them across your organization. We have been looking forward to this day. It's been a long time and a long way to go.

Are you sure? I filled the form and then got a link to download ADR 2007.

Taken from the linked website:
"Autodesk Design Review 2008 will be available for free* download in early April. Until then, you can download Autodesk Design Review 2007 for free*."
Plus when I download it, it is still DR2007...Will the website be updated soon, or should we wait until April???

Scott,
Is the website not yet updated? It still refers to the 2007 version on the download page.
"Autodesk Design Review 2007 Install - English
To install Autodesk® Design Review 2007 software, simply:
1. Download and save the setup file to your computer."

Scott,
Where can I download it? It tells me this on the download site:
Autodesk Design Review 2008 will be available for free* download in early April. Until then, you can download Autodesk Design Review 2007 for free*.
Nice move!

The info I got from the marketing department is that it would be going live last night. Perhaps it didn't push? Sometomes it takes time for the new content to make its way to all of the servers. I will update the title for now to avoid additional confusion. I will change it back when they really push. Sorry.

It looks like it took a little time for the web site content to propagate to the servers. I am seeing new content now.

Any word on TrueView 2008?
Posted by: Barry Ralphs | March 30, 2007 at 05:59 PM
Autodesk DWG TrueView 2008 is developed and released by the AutoCAD 2008 team. My guess is that it should be available within the month, but I am not privy to their info.

Hy:
I have a question i can with design review or true view in command line make a publish document DWG to DWF like autodwg.com
Convert a dwg file to a dwf file:
g2f.exe /F c :\dwg\test.dwg /O c:\dwf\test.dwf /B black
or exist an similar example??
We need this solution for automate the process in the file server and view it in the web page..

Thank you for the feedback. The sample provided by you seems to capture it best - for all our other readers, sample can be found at http://www.autodwg.com/DWG_DWF_Converter/

I was not able to run the installation in silent mode with the example above: start /wait SetupDesignReview.exe /s /v/qn
I made a batch file. The installation started prompting me all the dialogs for installation. Any Idea?

installing SetupDesignReview with parameters like 'start /wait SetupDesignReview /s /v /qn' (as described in 'tips and tricks' in document adr_tips2007_finalcomp.pdf on the autodesk site)prompts with dialogs; however like: 'start /wait SetupDesignReview.exe /s /v/qn' works fine.
