The DWF Toolkit contains C++ libraries that aid in the reading and writing of DWF files. Experienced C++ programmers use them to work with DWF files without having to completely understand the underlying data format. The DWF Toolkit is available free of charge.
To date, it has been a banner year for downloads of the DWF Toolkit. More and more companies are rallying around the DWF format. A variety of 3rd party applications exist.
Last year about 100 programmers downloaded the DWF Toolkit each week. This year that number has almost doubled - hovering at 189. DWF Toolkit 7 added support for the Macintosh and Linux. Despite this, the number of programmers for these platforms continues to be less than that for Windows. The good news is that there is steady representation for these platforms (about 14 downloads a week), so the potential for more and more DWF-related applications to appear on these platforms exists.
