I maintain a list of DWF products that come from companies other than Autodesk. The list is available at:

While working with Director of Business Development, Mary Hope McQuiston, I did an analysis of our DWF product list. It turns out that we have 206 DWF products from 91 non-Autodesk companies.
Wondering whether or not the downloads of the free DWF Toolkit actually lead to shipping products, I looked at how many of these products come from DWF Partners (companies we work with) versus how many come from companies that developed solutions on their own.
Amazingly more than half of these products are from companies where their development of a DWF product was self taught. Distribution of the free DWF Toolkit is working.
I then decided to see what type of global reach the DWF Toolkit has. I looked at the number of products and where they are produced.
Continent | Number of Products |
---|---|
Asia | 2 |
Australia | 4 |
Europe | 33 |
North America | 167 |
It was no surprise that the majority of DWF products come from companies in North America; however, not all of these were the United States as there was a significant number from Canada. Oh Canada! Way to go. We had a significant number from Europe, a handful from Australia, and even a few from Asia.
Our DWF product and partner list continues to grow. There is an African proverb which states that "It takes a village to raise a child." To raise the distance that DWF goes beyond the paper to its maximum, it takes a globe. Many companies are helping in this effort.
