I am at Autodesk University this week. Yesterday was our Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) session. Vice President of Autodesk Labs, Brian Mathews, demonstrated Project Freewheel viewing 3D DWF files. This will be a boon to our mechanical users. Look for that coming to the general public soon.
Today CEO, Carl Bass, kicked things off with his main stage presentation. This featured several Autodesk customers demonstrating what they have been able to do using Autodesk software. We got to see everything from a 3D model showing every building, chimney, and tree for a 36 square kilometer area of London to modeling the city of Bagdag to accurately plan missions in Iraq. Many of these customers had integrated Project Freewheel into their presentations. Carl's presentation finished off with a virtual world called Second Life where, guess what, Project Freewheel had been integrated.
