It appears that many, including myself, found that the system requirements listed for Autodesk Design Review 2008 seemed way off when it comes to the “free disk space for installation” point. As of now, 550MB are listed as a requirements.
The size of the Design Review 2008 installation directory does not exceed 60MB and even if you decide to install all the plug-ins (Batch Print, JT and DGN importer), the size of the directory does not surpass 130MB.
So why, you might ask, is there such a difference in size – when comparing the installation directory and the requirements listing. Well, it appears that the indicated space is only required should you also decide to install DWG TrueView.
Without the installation of TrueView, the space required should not be much larger than indicated earlier in the blog.
We are continuing to look into this and plan to update the website as soon as possible.
