We have received numerous requests from customers who inquired about sharing their Autodesk Design Review 2009 or Autodesk Design Review 2010 symbols with other users.
Sharing your Autodesk Design Review 2009/2010 custom symbols is possible by following these steps:
- Copy the desired content at [system drive]:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\Autodesk Design Review\userdata\symbol catalogs
- Paste it into the target machine at the same location
- Custom symbols will be available after the application has been restarted
Did this solution help you, too? Please share any feedback you may have.
Thank you.

I did this but they do not appear in the Symbols Catalog list insdie ADR. But they are locked by the applicaiton. I've tried this on both WinXp & Vista. Even restarted the PC to check.
Is there a Registeery Entry or XML file that needs to be updated?

If you are having trouble importing an older DWF file as a symbol catalog, you may need to update its DWF version. Open the older DWF file in Design Review and save it to update the older file to the latest DWF version, which can then be imported as a custom symbol catalog.
